October’s Beauty Boxes

It seems as if everyone is coming out with a monthly subscription. You can practically find anything from food, beauty, clothing and etc. I have been a long time subscriber to Birchbox, for $10 a month you will receive sample size and full size products to try. The majority of the products I receive are catered to me.

Black Girl Beauty Founder Krista Thrope just launched her first beauty box in September. The monthly box subscription cost’s $20 a month, which includes 4-6 luxury items a month. Krista also includes a themed card, which explains why and what she likes about the product and how to use them. # Winning

Now that you know about the two boxes lets compare, Shall we?

I had no idea Mixed Chicks had a body line. I love their leave in conditioner, So when I received this I was excited to give it a try. It seems amazing and moisturized my skin. My only gripe is that it’s a glycerin bar. So it goes fast.

It was hard for me to choose, I love both boxes….But, I’m going to go with BirchBox for $10 this month.  I received a variety of items to try. I love trying lots of new things. Although, Black girl beauty does have luxury size samples, for $20 a month. The thrifter in me says, you can do better. Let’s see who wins the next month….

You make me want to subscribe to Birchbox. I’ve only been debating it forever now.

BTW, nice blog. I’m relocating to the KC area (from Atlanta) in a few months and I stumbled upon your blog while searching for KC blogs to read. 🙂
