Happening Happy Hours – Plaza Edition

What’s the one thing you want to do after a hard day’s work?

You want to jump in your car, pick up the kiddos, battle traffic and slave over the store to cook dinner, right? Everyone’s dream day, I assume… Not! The one thing, I want to do after a very exhausting day of work is to relax with my friends, drink Non-acholihic and eat some great food. Oh, All while talking about what went on at work..Followed by some girl talk, and people watching.

Nothing says lets leave the woes of work like, HAPPY HOUR!! Now, some of you may or may not know Happy Hour is.. So let me break it down for you.. hap·py hour / Noun/A period of the day when drinks are sold at reduced prices in a bar or restaurant.

Here are some of the BEST Hand’s down/Happy Hour’s in KC. My top 3..

  • Brio Tuscan Grille : Located on Country Club Plaza.. Brio Offers drinks for $5, Plus a slew of appetizers for only $3.95. I heard their hands down best HH drink is the Lemon Drop Martini. My girlfriends say it tastes like a luscious lemony liquid sucker. My favorite is the Brio Burger, this burger is seasoned to perfection, topped with a secret sauce that is yummy and it comes chips. I also love their Spicy Shrimp and Eggplant, if you are a seafood lover you will love this.  http://www.brioitalian.com/bar_menu-at-country_club_plaza.html
  • BlancBurgers: Who doesn’t love a well seasoned, perfectly cooked burger, that juices are so good it’ll make you turn your head to see if anyone is looking so you can lick your fingers. Blanc Burgers is that type of burger joint! Their happy hour consists of items ranging from $3.95-$6.00, not too shabby. http://www.blancburgers.com/plazaadhoc.html
  • M&S Grill/McCormick and Schmidt – Ok, I have to admit my BFF and I used to sneak in here when we were in high school. But, of course they knew we were under age.. We would go to eat! They used to have a $2.95 menu, but with the economy and inflation it’s since raised. Now the menu prices range from $2.95 to $5.95, still not bad for great food. These places are great for the networking professionals, ton’s of exec’s and mover and shakers happy hour here. So if you are looking to mingle and up the any on your professional life, this is the place to be. http://www.mccormickandschmicks.com/menus/0079-M-S-Grill-Kansas-City-MO/Happy.pdf
