I decided to give Julep Maven a try after seeing it on another fellow bloggers site Dirty Laundry. Shout out to Mrs. Jeanee, my blog muse! What is a Julep Maven you may ask? To become a Julep Maven, you answer a few simple questions which then selects your style. The styles can include, Bomb Shell; Classic with a Twist; American Beauty; or Boho Glam. All of the colors are awesome! Upon taking my quiz, I am “Classic with a Twist”.
For those who know me, Know that I am not one to really do anything crazy with my nails. I am not one who will wear neon pink, sky blue and etc. I am a classic girl, So french manicure is my homie! I enrolled into the Julep Maven program which is $19.99 per month. You receive a special box each month with select custom colors, and other items.
I admit seeing the box in the mail was like opening up a gift on Christmas morning. I opened my box and saw discovered that it included two polishes and Rose (red watermelon color) and Kate (White with a touch of Silver). I admit the “Kate” was a little more white than silver. Maybe it will be hot as an accent color, but definitely not as a main color again just my opinion. The box also included toe separators and a Pedi-foot creme which is luscious! It claims that it will soften feet and heals after just 2 days, it works thus far. Check out my pictures below.
My opinion: For a girl who doesnt usually like anything other than the “French manicure” look, I am learning to like color. For those who are true nail polishing diva’s, I would give Julep a try. You can cancel your subscription at anytime or skip a month.
