Ladies Who Lunch

This weekend, I met up with some amazing bloggers. Nik of NikG Life and Style, Amber from Brown Bombshell Beauty, and Cynthia from Mrs. Wright Writes. My plan was for everyone to experience Indian cuisine and see the movie 100 Foot Journey. I never planned to meet up with everyone and gel so quickly as if we were old high school girlfriends catching up at a high school reunion. The vibe and conversation was so fluid. There were no awkward moments.. Nothing but laughs and learning.

These women may have become my new blogger boo’s.

We met up at Chai Sai a local Indian restaurant off the beaten path. I was excited as I’ve never experienced Indian food. I made it to the restaurant early, Not knowing what to expect I walked into a small and cozy eatery that was filled with amazing smells. I literally wanted to eat the air. Yes, Chomp..chomp..chomp.

I asked the waitress for recommendations, She recommended the Samosas and the Achari Chicken. The Samosas are savory pastries filled with their signature spiced chicken, beef, or veggies, lightly fried and served with imli chutney.

The Samosas were delicious. The pastry was light and flaky. The filling was finely chopped marinated chicken and perfectly seasoned beef. The chutney that accompanied the samosas were sweet and spicy. My taste buds were simply delighted. (Sorry, for the lack of quality picture. I nearly forgot to take pictures with my cellphone before I started eating)

I also ordered the Achari Chicken (a customer favorite) which consisted of whole pieces of chicken cooked in a pickling spice, served with basmati rice and naan along with raitha. The chicken was moist, the sauce absolutely divine. After my first bite, The food God’s began to shower me with their taste bud blessing. Amen!
