Try It Out Tuesday (Brookside Dark Chocolate Acai Blueberry)

I am voyaging forward with my quest to try new things in the world of food. This week I was gifted from a co-worker a package of Brookside dark chocolate acai blueberries. My co-worker raved about how great they taste, So I decided to give them a try.  Below you will find more information about this delicious treat.

Brookside’s chocolatiers have discovered a range of exotic fruits from around the world to create the ultimate chocolate experience.

The perfect pairing of Brookside’s sweetened real fruit juice pieces dipped in luscious dark chocolate. Another perfect pairing from Brookside.

Açai (ah-sigh-ee) berries are the fruit of the açai palm tree. Found primarily in the lush Amazon forest, the berry has been harvested for hundreds of years as a staple in the local diet.

Initially used almost exclusively as a regional diet supplement, açai is now very much in demand around the world. Red and purple fruits and veggies are known to be high in antioxidants and that is certainly the case with the açai berry. In addition to antioxidants, açai contains an amazing combination of health-promoting nutrients, dietary fibre and monounsaturated fats.
