Taste of Park Place

This past weekend was absolutely beautiful. The weather felt as if it was early June which allowed for shorts and sandals. It was the perfect day to attend the Taste of Park Place which benefited NewHouse shelter. New House shelter is a domestic violence shelter that allows women to lead a self-sufficient life while making positive choices. New House is close to my heart, My sister worked for the company and my aunt served as a board member. I have been very impressed with their mission and involvement in the lives of the women and children in the shelter as well.

The Taste of Park Place took me on a tour of culinary proportions. I savored tastings as thirteen restaurants. Each restaurant took my taste buds on roller coaster ride, Some of my favorites tastings include: 801 Fish Seasonal Ceviche and their house made Moulton Salted Carmel ice cream, The Blue Maui Smoothie at T-Loft, and Chicken Spiedini at Carma restaurant. The participating restaurants are below:

    How in the world do you stay so slim – all those options for wonderful food would have be on the treadmill daily!!
