The ever growing Metropolitan area of Kansas City, MO has began turning the tides of it’s traditional Midwest heritage. It’s quickly establishing itself as a highly desirable destination for vacations and staycations alike. From the beautiful fountains and Plaza to the upbeat nightlife and fine dining; Kansas City is certainly where it’s at these days!
One fine dining restaurant is shaking up the scene by taking the dining scene to a whole new level! Steak 37 opened up at Harrah’s casino, and I was lucky enough to be one of the select few invited to a pre-opening at the restaurant just last week! To say that I was impressed would be an EXTREME understatement.
Located inside of Harrah’s just across from Voodo Lounge, Steak 37 hit the nail on the head location wise! There’s plenty to enjoy either before or after dining that will allow the party to linger on until the wee hours of the night!
The open floor plan and sleek scenery of Steak 37 gives off an aura of sophistication, without the feeling of “stuffiness” that runs rampant in many fancy restaurants. It is the perfect venue for a romantic date, dinner with friends, or a corporate dining experience. You’ll have the pleasure of watching live chefs prepare steaks right in front of you, to add entertainment to your nourishment! Their state of the art wine pantry is sure to impress the most critical wine enthusiasts.
And then…. there’s the food. There’s no other way to describe it, other than, simply amazing! The variety is great. I sampled candied bacon with maple syrup, brown sugar and cayenne pepper that was to die for! I also tried mini crab cakes, mini steak burgers, and ahi tuna with seaweed salad! Each and every item tasted delectable!
Steak 37 is the newest member of the Kansas City fine dining scene. Whether you’re a tourist dropping in for the weekend, or you consider yourself a native; you haven’t truly experienced Kansas City until you’ve eaten here!
