Kansas City Fashion Week

Kansas City celebrated Fashion Night Out on the plaza. I was so excited to attend Halls events and Kaplan’s Fashion show. When I got to the Plaza, I admit I was a little disappointed. Last year, the plaza was filled with women of shades of beauty and it was a party in just about every store. But this year, it was really quite. The first store I went to was Halls,The energy inside the store was awesome. The music from the DJ was great, the Chanel makeup counter were giving out makeovers, and fashion was in the air. I stopped by the makeup counter and saw the beautiful colors of fall which included oranges, blues, burgundy…Ooops Ox-Blood, and browns. As I looked over the new colors of makeup, I also went to the perfume counter there I smelled Bond No. 9 the perfumes made your nose melt with satisfied. All of the Bond No 9 perfumes (which are specifically sold at Halls) smelled so good. As I went to the second floor of Halls to look at latest fashions for fall, even the sales associates where looking more like models than sales people. Halls has hands down the best dressed sales associates in Kansas City.

As I walked around the Plaza, I remembered the Kaplan’s Fabrics Fashion Show so I ran to the store to grab a good spot. Ok, let me remind you running in a gorgeous dress… Not a good look might I add, but I made it in time. When I entered into Kaplan’s I noticed the most beautiful and unique fabrics. I was informed by someone to stop by the back of the store for refreshments and drinks, they had the cutest cake pops and bottled water. The fashion show began and the majority of the fashions were beautiful, but some were um, let me be nice. All in all, I enjoyed the show. I also found out that they offer sewing classed, I will definitely be looking into taking classes.

Here are photos from the evening.
