Christopher Elbow Chocolates – A Valentine’s Day Savior

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and if you are like most people you need help with deciding on a last minute gift. Chocolate is the most popular gifts to purchase for Valentine’s Day, but you shouldn’t purchase just any chocolate. I recently visited a couple of local Kansas City owned Chocolatiers, who will make you leave that grocery store box office at the store. My first stop is Christopher Elbow’s Artisanal Chocolate, I’ll show you how Christopher Elbow Chocolates is a Valentine’s Day Savior.

How are the chocolates made?

100% of the chocolates are completely handmade and shipped from our Kansas City location. It takes approximately three-four days to create the chocolates from scratch. If you have the pleasure of tasting a fruit or liquor flavored chocolate, you’ll be delighted to know they made from the actual ingredient and not from extract or artificial flavoring.

Where do you produce/manufacture the chocolates?

The manufacturing plant located on the backside of the retail store, its temperature controlled because the chocolate is so delicate. Christopher Elbow Chocolates are known for their perfectly tempered chocolate. What is perfectly tempered chocolate exactly? That means when they create the crystal in the chocolate when it’s melted a beautiful sheen is revealed. Most people may believe the chocolate has a lacquer or coating added and some do but not a Christopher Elbow Chocolates.
