Thrift Style – Sparkle and Shine

I’m so excited to team up again with some of my fellow Thrift Fashionista’s for a fun link up. I will be hosting two link-up’s for the month of December. My fellow thrift sisters are those that I truly admire. Their style, grace, and overall fashion sense is so inspiring. I know you will love their style as much as I do. This week’s theme is: Sparkle and Shine.

This time of the year everyone loves to add a little sparkle to their wardrobe. I can recall going to church around Christmas and I there would be a sea of sequins. Whether you go to church or go out for the holiday’s sequins or beaded outfits is something you’re bound to see. I scoured the thrift stores only to strike out with all of the gorgeous vintage sequined tops and dresses. Ok, by striking out I mean not my size. Nothing’s worse than looking like a can of busted biscuits.

It was down to the wire when I found a sequined cardigan that was perfect! As much as I wish it was vintage it will have to do. I paired a thrifted black cardigan, fitted cobalt blue pants and black pumps. The look is perfect for a hot date night or girls night out.

Top – $5.99 (thrifted) / Pants – $3.99 (thrifted) / Shoes  – TJ Maxx

I know right! I could not find anything that fit. While listening to the thrift sisters webcast. I noticed a they said a lot of donations are given at the end of the year. So December and January are the best months to thrift. Do you agree?

I love that top! Sequins rock! I also enjoy shopping at thrift shops and one of the best deals I ever got was a leopard coat for $25. I had it dry cleaned and put a new liner in. It;s my favorite coat for fall. early winter.

I love thrift shopping, especially for vintage wear. Even though this isn’t vintage, it’s still really cool. I love the sparkle! And, at a great price! Happy shopping to you!
