A couple of months ago, I traveled to Saint Louis for a blog conference. It’s been some time since I visited the city and it was better than I remembered. Of course, I could not travel back home without visiting a consignment or thrift store. Luckily, I found a unique little gem in one of the suburbs outside of Saint Louis and oh, honey it was everything!
As a pro thrifter, I had a few items on my list to purchase. In the Summer time, I don’t like to overthink style and tend to keep it simple. This dress caught my eye because of the unique print and color. But it wasn’t until after I tried it on that I felt the most beautiful. Better yet, this dress was handmade as listed on the clothing tag, so it was a rare find indeed.
Dresses are worn every day, but when you discover the type of dress that makes you feel like confident, beautiful, and free. Then you have a winner!!
Tips for finding the perfect summer dress:
Fit – Fit is imperative. A well fitted/tailored dress can take your look from blah to Wow.
Fabric – All materials are not created equal. Try to stick with breathable cotton material or matte jersey will allow for flow and flatters all.
Feature – This dresses feature is the unique tie-dye print. What is it about your dress that stands out? For example, is the cut very defined or does it create a fabulous silhouette?
