She Tried It – Farm to Market Holiday Bread

I was given the opportunity to try the holiday breads from Farm to Market. First up, The German-style Stollen bread offers a balance of sweet flavors and rich ingredients with almonds and rum soaked raisins, all basted with butter and dusted with a coating of all-natural powdered sugar. The rich loaves can been enjoyed on their own or topped with cinnamon and butter for a sweet treat.  (Courtesy of Farm to Market)

This bread is awesome! It was only after I dusted off a little bit of powered sugar was when I truly enjoyed this bread. (Please note: It’s only because I am trying to maintain not gain that I did not immediately devour this bread) The layers of flaky buttery bread, almonds and raisins are so delicious all you need is a glass of milk to enjoy.

This bread looks similar to a cupcake, but without the muffin top overlay.

Another holiday Farm to Market Bread Co. favorite is the Panettone. The classic Italian holiday bread dates to the 15th century, but is baked fresh today in Kansas City. The specialty Panettone combines buttery, lightly sweetened, egg-enriched dough that is studded with dried cranberries, candid orange and topped with the distinctive cupola with toasted almonds. This bread is super moist. I found that I liked it best as french toast, my kiddos even ate up the french toast as if I served them candy on a platter. Mom’s if you are looking for a new spin on breakfast, be sure to give this bread a try.

Overall, I enjoyed both breads. But my favorite was the Stollen. You can enjoy these holiday breads from Farm to Market Bread Co until December 31st at your local grocer listed below.
